Terms of use
These terms are the agreement between you and Sreedhar Reddy, who runs NidhiVista ("we", "us"). By creating an account you accept them, together with the privacy notice. Please read them; they are short.
In short
- NidhiVista is a free beta. It may have mistakes, change, or stop.
- It tracks your investments. It does not give investment, tax or legal advice.
- Prices, values and tax figures may be wrong or missing. Check before you act on them.
- Your data stays yours. You can download it and delete your account.
1. The service
NidhiVista lets individuals and families in India record and follow their investments in one place: shares and ETFs, mutual funds, NPS, deposits, PPF, gold, property and other assets. You can import statements or enter records by hand, see values and returns, set goals, see tax estimates and produce reports, for each person in your household.
NidhiVista is run by Sreedhar Reddy, an individual in India. It is not a broker, depository participant, bank, investment adviser or research analyst, and it is not registered with SEBI. It never holds your money or your investments, and it cannot buy, sell or move anything for you.
2. A beta
- The beta is by invitation only and free of charge. If paid plans ever follow, we will tell you well in advance; nothing is charged without your agreement.
- It is offered "as is" and "as available". Features may change, be removed, or not work as expected, and the service may be unavailable at times, including for maintenance.
- We may end the beta, or the service, at any time. If we do, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email where we can, so you can download your data.
- We welcome your feedback and may use it to improve NidhiVista, with no obligation to you.
3. Not investment or tax advice
Nothing in NidhiVista is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any investment, or advice on what is suitable for you. Returns, goal projections and comparisons describe your records; they do not predict the future.
Tax figures (such as capital gains, tax estimates and advance tax) are estimates from the records you have given and the rules as we understand them. They are not a tax computation or a return. Please confirm with a chartered accountant or other qualified adviser before filing or acting on them.
4. Prices, values and estimates
Prices come from public sources such as NSE, AMFI, NPS Trust, IBJA and Yahoo Finance. They can be late, wrong or missing. When a price is not available, NidhiVista says so rather than making one up, so some values may be shown as partial or unavailable. Corporate actions (such as splits and bonuses) may be applied late or need correction.
What you see is only as accurate as the data you import or enter and the data we receive. We do our best, but we do not guarantee that any price, value, return or estimate is correct or complete. Your broker, fund house, depository or NPS statements remain the official record.
5. Your account
- You must be 18 or older, live in India, and use NidhiVista for yourself and your family, not as a business serving others.
- Keep the email address you sign in with secure: anyone who can read its sign-in codes can reach your account. We recommend turning on two-step sign-in under Account.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account, and for the people you invite into your household and the roles you give them.
- Tell us straight away at [email protected] if you think someone else has used your account.
6. Your data
- The records you put into NidhiVista remain yours. You allow us to store and process them only to provide the service to you and your household, as described in the privacy notice.
- You are responsible for what you enter. Add other people's records only with their permission, or as the parent or legal guardian of a child.
- Keep your own copies of important documents. NidhiVista does not keep the statements you upload, and the beta is not a storage or archive service.
- You can download your data (on the web app) and delete your account (on the web or phone) at any time.
7. Acceptable use
Please do not:
- try to see or change another household's data, or get round sign-in, security or the invitation process;
- test, probe, scan or overload the service, or use automated tools to read it, without our written permission;
- upload anything unlawful, harmful (such as malware), or that you do not have the right to share;
- pretend to be someone else, or enter details of a person without their permission;
- copy, resell or offer NidhiVista, or its prices and reports, to others as a service;
- use NidhiVista in breach of any law.
If you find a security problem, please tell us privately at [email protected].
8. Phone apps
The NidhiVista phone apps are distributed through Google Play and the Apple App Store. Their own terms also apply to downloading and updating the apps; those stores are not responsible for NidhiVista or its support.
9. Ending your use
- You can stop at any time by deleting your account (Account → Delete my account). The deletion happens after 7 days, and you can cancel it until then.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts the service or other users at risk, or where the law requires it. Unless it would be unlawful or unsafe, we will tell you why and give you a chance to download your data first.
- Sections 3, 4, 10 and 12 continue to apply after your use ends.
10. Our responsibility to you
We take reasonable care in running NidhiVista. But because it is a free beta that does not advise you or handle your money:
- we are not responsible for decisions you make, or losses you suffer, from relying on prices, values, returns, projections or tax estimates shown by NidhiVista;
- we are not responsible for indirect losses (such as lost profits or opportunities), or for problems caused by things outside our reasonable control, such as power or internet failures, or failures of the service providers and public data sources we rely on;
- to the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything to do with NidhiVista is limited to ₹1,000.
Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that cannot be limited under Indian law, including for fraud, or your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 or the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, where they apply.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as NidhiVista changes. We will email you at least 14 days before a change takes effect and show the new version in the app. If you do not agree, you can delete your account before then; for important changes we will ask you to accept the new version.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please write to us first so we can try to sort out any problem together. If we cannot, the courts at Hyderabad, India have jurisdiction, without taking away any right you have to approach a consumer commission or the Data Protection Board of India.
